KYOKU HAKU Zipper Notebook Jacket Memories

Inspired by fieldwork in Tainan’s Kabusua tribe, the design draws on the Siraya water motif—ripples symbolizing women’s role in protecting family and culture, flowing lines like bloodlines and memories. The zippered pouch stores all journal accessories securely for easy travel.

This fabric is woven with oyster shell-blended yarn, transforming what would otherwise be discarded natural oyster shells into fine fibers through innovative recycling techniques. This process not only reduces resource waste but also gives the material a renewed life. The natural mineral properties imbue the fabric with a distinctive texture and durability, embodying the principles of eco-friendly regeneration and sustainable design—so that each use becomes a heartfelt gesture toward protecting our oceans and our planet.
