K-3 is a new luxury home and lifestyle brand founded by world renowned Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, and launched worlwide at the Maison & Objet trade fair in January 2020. For Kenzo Takada, the collaboration with Clairefontaine was an obvious choice. The artist's boundless creativity was exhibited daily through his passion for design, and was displayed in many different forms such as painting and calligraphy. Some of the stationery of this collection carry a Kintsugi mark as a tribute to the Japanese 'savoir-faire'. This ancestral art encourages people to repair a broken object by highlighting its flaws and scars with gold leaf, a traditional valued by K-3.
