Pastor Raymond Koh Keng Joo had no idea what he saw that day would change the course of his life. His heart was broken when he saw youths were loitering near the Checkers mini-market without a direction in life. The neighbourhood of Taman Sri Sentonsa, a mixed residential development located at the outskirt of the city of Kuala Lumpur, was a poor to middle-income suburb. Filled with a strong compassion for these school children, he later left his pastoral work to set up Harapan Komuniti to help the marginalised community in Malaysia. While he and his volunteers worked at helping the marginalised youths, something sinister was brewing. The simple yet meaningful Thanksgiving dinner which volunteers of Harapan Komuniti organised on August 3, 2011 was raided. Two weeks later on August 26, he received a death threat. The bloggers were making all sorts of allegations that he was proselytising the Muslims. Yet, he kept silent about it, until that fateful day....
