CzipLearn x lootengstudio: “What I Love About Malaysia” Creative Journaling Workshop [30th August]

Celebrate Merdeka by slowing down and remembering the people, places, and moments that make Malaysia feel like home. In this journaling workshop supported by Loka Made and Campus by KOKUYO. Participants will create a beautiful scrapbook-style journal spread centred around a hibiscus flower, Malaysia's national flower, with each petal representing something they love about their country.

What You'll Do:

Icebreaker & Reflection
Kick things off by sharing one thing you love about Malaysia - whether it's the food, the people, the languages, or a cherished childhood memory. A great way to warm up and get inspired before you start creating!

Planning Your Spread
Lay out your journal spread around the theme ""What I Love About Malaysia."" You'll personalise five hibiscus petals, each representing something you appreciate, from culture and nature to people and memories.

Creating Your Hibiscus
Fold, trace, cut, and arrange your very own hibiscus flower using coloured paper. This becomes the beautiful focal point of your journal spread.

Guided Journaling
Work through each petal one at a time — writing a few heartfelt sentences, adding doodles, stickers, washi tape, and colours to bring each theme to life.

Final Touches & Sharing
Add the finishing details, write today's date, and optionally include a favourite quote.  Wrap up by sharing a petal and the story behind it with the group.

What to Bring
Your own journal or notebook
Feel free to bring any additional tools you'd like - glue, scissors, stickers, washi tape, or pens are always welcome! A selection of shared materials from Loka Made and Campus by KOKUYO will also be available for everyone to use throughout the session.

Recommended age: 15 years and above.
